C'est au tour des dernières pièces en résine de passer à la peinture avant de passer à la peinture du fuselage.
La plage arrière du cockpit (vu que la pièce en résine est prévue pour le kit Hasegawa, j'ai dû bricoler un peu) :

C'est parti pour la peinture sur la grosse bestiole, avec du noir OTAN pour figurer la couleur interne des montants :

La verrière est peinte et patinée à l'aide de Panel Line Wash d'AmmoMig :
Un passage de vernis satinée et ce sera la mise en place des rétros à l'intérieur.

La couche de base aluminium (Alclad) est passée :
C'est parti pour un peu de paneling avec différentes teintes métalliques, la peinture des détails et sans doute les bandes jaunes et noires à la peinture...

J'ai tenter de peindre les marques d'identification de la "Far East Air Force" plutôt que d'utiliser les décalques :
C'est presque pas trop mal ! Et une fois les inévitables reprises, et quelques panneaux et trappes peints avec d'autres nuances d'alu, je déclare unilatéralement "The Huff" paré pour la pose des décalques :

Il est très beau cet avion. Tu parlais d'avoir eu des problèmes avec les décals? J'ai beau regarder et je ne vois rien qui semble avoir cloché?

Les F-86 servant en Corée étaient visiblement bien entretenus.
La patine sera donc légère, avec le passage d'un Panel Line Wash "Deep Gray" de chez AmmoMig, que je laisse sécher 1 heure avant de l'essuyer avec un chiffon, dans le sens du vent relatif :
Un voile de vernis satiné terminera cette phase de patine.
